Well that is true, but I think there will be some other "Kits". SO I am not sure if this is a true scratchbuild contest. It is more of a build contest so if that is the case then this Porsche 911 would work.

I have just confirmed that the build off is intended to show various ways of building a slot car. If you are so inclined this 911 thread would be welcome in the build off as well.

Lloyd, working in that scale is not easy! And we all know that the choices in 1/43 are limited at best for RTR cars. I think your build, and that is exactly what it is! would be a welcome addition to the build off.
Please post it in the build off! Let us know where those kind of parts can be purchased, and what it takes to get it to a finished racer.

will you also add the top headlight? looks fragile

as Peter wrote the headlight is really fragile and exposed.
If you had a pattern I could cast a copy ( or more, of course...) from an unbreakable rubber material.

Yes, both the Porsche and the Falcon will have a roof mounted spotlight at some stage, but I will be leaving them off until they get back from Pronomag. I do not want Peter to drive them slower fo fear of rolling them! <G>.
