Hi,
finally finished my Kyosho Dslot bodied Porsche 962 with PDR (puddle dude racing) type 3 chassis (pod, no magnet).
Removed the original body mounts from Kyosho and added the 4 small body mounts that come with the print. A little epoxy and voila, the body is in place and LOWER. With the front body mount removed, there is space for the guide to be placed 5mm wider to the front - this improves handling, so do the silicone coated high flexible guide wires.
What i tried with this chassis, too, are CarGo tires from Germany. They hook up great on my flat latex paint, casted in PU.
The original bearings have been drilled out and a piece of brass tube has been inserted to reduce the play in rear axle.
Setting up the motor pod is turning all those screws multiple times in multiple directions, but it pays. The cars really smooth now, no rattling sound in any way.
I like the low look :)
cheers,
puddle dude
