Early planning For my next 1/43 track & some ?'s

Well, I am working on the design for my scenic track and rather then just Post a layout (not done quite yet) I thought I would just drop in and post a few teasers here. I was grappling with a few design ideas and just exactly how to incorporate them into a finished track that flows and does what it's intended to do.

I finally figured out the one missing bit that will make it all work (I hope) as a cohesive plan and I felt I should warn you guys that it's RADICAL, unconventional and might blow some folks minds! Frankly, It's blowing mine! Might even change the way many people think about slot car tracks and give folks a real different idea about what's possible when routing a track.

The design is turning into a real challenge and if I am actually able to do it (or something similar) it will really be a feat, but I plug on anyway!!

This is a very unique design. It may suffer from one of the main problems with slot cars - they are unrealistically fast. Your cars may need to slow way down by the traffic circle and lane changes, and many times cars go from a standstill to almost all out with very small movements of your finger on the controller. You might need to consider high quality tunable controllers or run the track on reduced voltage.

I fully plan to run Proxies on the racing circuit; the scenic circuit??? I don't know; we will see! I guess it would be kinda cool to be able to run two proxy rounds @ one location!!?? I really do not see speed as being a major issue on either circuit. The scenic circuit has almost idenatical elements to my present track AND my previous city test track, SO I have a good idea what will work & what won't, also a track such as this would typically run @ 10 to 11 volts (no magnet) and that will slow things considerably! Will the tails of the cars Hang out? Yes, Most definately!!!
