I watched "McLaren", the documentary movie about Bruce McLaren's racing life, on the way home on the plane yesterday. Great movie with a lot of interviews with many of his contemporary friends/partners/family/fans. He was quite a person! Makes me glad that I'm building the #2 Vic Elford McLaren M8D for the upcoming Can-Am proxy. For much of it's existence, the Can-Am was really the "Bruce and Denny show", as there wasn't much that was actually touching the McLaren's until the factory Porsches started showing up (917/10's and 917/30's). Also, I'm a bowtie guy; I like Chevy, so this car is all good for me.
If you haven't seen this movie/documentary yet, then it's definitely worth a look. Even the sad part at Goodwood is well done and very much to the point.
