Whew, that was a busy day of racing, folks!

Quite a variety of vehicle manufacturers and a wide range of chassis. The races got faster as he day wore on and we can say it is an All American top four!

We are just getting the results from scoring, it’s important to check those lap sheets. Cheif commissioner Methe was just handed the results and it looks like he has given it a thumbs up! He is walking over to our booth now:

“Here you go JT, let the Slot Car world know the results.”

Before the blimp heads back to the hanger, we’ve got a few shots of the finishing order here on the pit straight at Cornerstone. Image

“That’s all from the Raceway today folks.”

“I’d like to thank the NERF team here at Cornerstone today: Bob, Tom, Bill, and BobB carefully coordinated their efforts and kept this Proxy on track!”

“Until next time, JT signing off from South Grafton.”

Thank you for such a great write-up with the cars. I am sure you guys put in a lot of work. Thanks for everything you have done. Good to see the shiny Cheetah move up a little bit from Round #1.

I must say that I was one of a lucky few that got to drive all these cars. Cornerstone is not a walk in the park. Had a great time so thanks to all the builders.

Congrats to the Dynamic Trio; Chris, Dennis and Dave! :text-bravo:

JT, Bob and crew, this is one of the best racing reports I've ever seen - thanks for making it special and for making it all come alive for the racers - and glad that you had a good time running these cars!

On to the next Round - down in Sunny Connecticut with Doubl-B and crew!

Thanks everyone for the nice feedback, as Billy said, we wished more could be here in person. This grid of cars had some impressive unusual bodies: Munter’s Lister, DoubleB’s Bobtail, and the Kurtis in particular. The many cool chassis deserve inspection as well.

More photos from the heat of the action:

Yes this car is spun and driving the wrong way!

Congratulations to ChrisguyW, Gascarnut, and Drw21 on your win and podiums. Thank you JT and the commentary crew as well as the drivers for their hard work. This is going to be an exciting proxy from start to finish with shake ups from race 1 through the race today versus qualifying from the rest of the field. Happy to see the #3 and #33 in the top 10 and 15 in this class of incredible builders.

Congratulations to the Host, drivers and podium finishers. Wow what happened to my #112 after a top 10 qualifying position? Did something on the motor pod move? Build sheet says its a sidewinder 12/34 gearing. Hope it is nothing major. If any parts are needed let me know. Thanks for getting the #1 up from the bottom.

Thanks Arnold - after I drove it it was fine, halfway through the next heat we stared to hear gear grinding as I noted in the report. It wasn’t involved in a crash in that heat, it literally started as it was runnig, we could all hear it it was so loud. We stopped and looked at it could see no loose gear or cracked pod from below. We put back in to finish heat slowly but it was still grinding from a bad mesh. We had to pull it from the final heat it was to unreliable to finish. After, Bob looked at it more closely and he said the pinion was twisted and angled, which sounded strange but... I’m sure you’ll hear more, Bob is a very good mechanic. Too bad, your car was a blast to drive.
