I guess I had a total misconception about the midwest modified class, they really were very similar to the east coast mods of the same time period. When did the IMCA mods take hold in the midwest? It's cool to see what was going on at tracks in other parts of the country. Your resin bodies are really nice looking.

A package from Slotcar Corner Canada arrived today.
I fitted the motor to the chassis and added the wheels and tires that are all part of the special "Showme" Package SCC put together for this event.

What a chassis. I'm in this year, and your work is hard to match.
But its fun to try.

I like the way the chassis is part of the model in these things. Really nice looking.
Cheers

Driver Figures
I have decided not to renew the contract for this years Showdown with my driver Danmark Gurnahue, (Dan Gurney head from a Carrera, Body from a Scaley Mark Donahue). He just didn't have enough short track experience. He was a good driver for big ovals and road courses but not for the close action of a short track.
When I saw some of the tough looking drivers at last years Showdown I knew my driver with his refined road course skills just wasn't going to cut it, placing in the bottom third with my five wheel Camaro. So where do you guys get those great looking drivers. I looked a lot of suppliers and never see drivers.
