As most of my cars are Artin I am very interested in printing a chassis.

Design looks great, I like the idea of the adjustable front axle height.

I love the artin chassis as a baseline for scratch building, and I have bought several from you, but I am thinking about creating a silicone mold and doing resin pours to feed my chassis addiction for future builds.

1) do you see any downside to trying this?
2) what is the approximate cost to 3D print one chassis?

Interesting, I have seen those 3D printers at trade shows, but I kind of looked past them because the parts produced were a little more "rough" perhaps the technology has gotten better in the last few years. Certainly different machines and materials can yield a smoother part, but more $$. For chassis duty, maybe this fits the bill. I have Solidworks modeling software available to design parts.

I was thinking of doing a 2pc mold for resin. I have wanted to get into making my own slot car bodies for quite a few years. But I do have a much higher need for chassis at this point.
