Anyone care to weigh in on similar car comparisons?
AA Porsche 911 vs. Carrera GT3
AA Ford GT vs. Carrera GT40

What track are you running them on?

the AA Ford GT is a modern car - Carrera the 60s version

AA motors are rated to run at 12v - Carrera 18v

Carrera cars are heavier

detail level is comparable - AA may have slight edge

Wood.
I realize the cars are designed to run on different voltages.

I have put 12v motors into my Carrera cars - I have an AA Porsche and a Carrera Aston Martin DBR9 - for the AA car I put metal wheels on the rear with foam tyres (plafit) and I changed the guide to a parma type - the car runs quite well now.

The Aston feels heavy to drive compared to the Porsche. I haven't changed the tyres on it but will need to - they don't give great grip with out a magnet.
