F1 proxy Wheel/Tire options.....Update

Thanks again, Chris. It’s reassuring to read this. I had already decided to forego purchasing and preparing another set of rear wheels in order to get slicks with adequate clearance. I’ll be using the NSR F1 20 x 13 tires with shallow grooves remaining on them after truing.

In testing on my track the car subjectively seems to have plenty of rear grip.

I have chosen CB Design 14x8 F1 front wheels because the F1 cars I own all have wobbly front wheels. I see no hope for the stock wheels. So I have a few tires that fit these 14x8 wheels but when mounted they measure a tick under the minimum width rule of 10.5mm. Any front tire suggestions from the knowledgeable to fit the CB Design 14x8 wheels and comply with the rule or is a tick narrow going to be acceptable? My micrometer reads 9.89mm.

Thanks Chris. I had previously read your tire/rib mod post. I may try that as a last resort. I'm going to try the Ninco tires on these wheels first.
