Congrats to the victors and congrats and thanks, too, to the track team at Amoskeag North for the excellent and well illustrated reporting. :text-bravo:
Though my #23 Renault clawed its way to an 8th place finish after starting a lowly 12th on the grid, I have to admit to being disappointed with the performance of my entry. At both tracks so far the comments from Qualifying have noted a lack of speed on the straights compared to most other cars. At 68 grams, I don't think it's particularly overweight compared to the top cars and I'm pretty sure there are no excessive frictional losses slowing it down. I'm wondering if I geared the #23 too tall at 2.67:1? If so, then maybe I can look forward to better results at upcoming tracks with longer straights... if there are any.
Or, maybe I just got a weaker motor. In which case, I have nothing to look forward to.
Any insights would be appreciated.
