2019 TransAm Proxy - Due Date - Postponed to March 15

OK ran the cars at 3 Mins.
#89 65 Laps 2.78 Fast Lap
#48 65 Laps 2.82 Fast Lap
#42 64 Laps 2.87 Fast Lap
The #42 had a hiccup in this segment. Ran 2-3 more times. 50-60 laps. So we know this car will not make the hauler unless I go to the motor shop and get a new motor. The #89 and #48 both were in about the same place when the counter sounded. Exiting turn 2. Couldn't have been much difference. Since this is all manual have to trust my reflexes. #89 has been the top car since the tire change. #42 would be it if the motor hadn't started going away. Better to find it out now than in round 1 at the bottom of the field.

UM do I put the rubber tires on the #89 and see if it will crack the 54 sec 20 lap time? The #48 is still on old tires.

7 days until the hauler pulls. What do you guys think???

With 3 good cars to choose from you're in a luxury position with regards to this proxy. Good luck making the choice...….

Thanks Allan. The chassis is doing its thing. I did test another motor this afternoon. I think I'm leaning more toward the #89.

OK gave the #42 another Naphtha Cocktail. Motor no longer losing power. It ran 20 laps in 55.80 secs fast lap 2.52 secs. This is good but it still is not as fast as the #89 at 55.75 with a 2.45 fast lap. So the #42 is the 3rd fastest of the 3. All in the 55.75-55.80 range. Couldn't get much better than this. Putting the final touches on the #89 today and on the hauler it will go. Will update later tonight with a picture.

Did test laps after getting the final touch in. Then it happened a gremlin bit the #89. Tried to fix it but ran into a snag. May get sorted out before the hauler pull date not sure. Thus no picture tonight.

Put the finishing touch on the #89 for mailing today. Ran a few laps!!! What the heck!!!! :think: High 2.9-3.0 laps, what happened????? :angry-tappingfoot: At work now will work on it when I get home tonight. It may be the #42 or #48 after all. Now it is in the 70s today but the basement was 67 degrees. Similar to other nights when the outside temp was in the 50s. Maybe I should throw it up in the air. :?: :roll:

Well had hoped that you guys would be seeing this during the series. But it may be the #42. All cars are down 1-2 secs from the high times recorded on 3/4. The #48 runs the fastest most consistent times with and average lap of 2.80 secs. The #89 did run the fastest 20 lap time tonight in the 56 sec range but could not duplicate it. The #42 has run the fastest 60 lap time. Beating the #89 by 3 secs. Still have to run the #48 60 laps. Looks like the #89 will not make the hauler after all. Unless I can get another sec out of it. Right now 57 secs seems to be the norm.

Well here it is folks. #48. Ran it last night 60 laps 2.46.73 Fast lap 2.71. This beat the #89 by 5 secs. This afternoon put new tires on it. 60 laps 2.44.76 Fast lap 2.51. This would have been a 2nd place against 2018 COY Forums Cup Cars. Now it is 8 grams lighter. But this is getting it done on my track. Just hope it is competitive against this great group of builders.
