Smokeio and team thanks for the qualifying. That is a great top 3 there. Glad to see team Pacific place well in the top 10. Now we wait anxiously for the race...good luck to all. I go out on the limb and say Camber, Smokeio and F1 in that order...until Tuesday...we sit we wonder we hope!

Dale, To respond to your request for feedback, you have a good car. The next step is something I am also searching for and that is that balance between power and weight. How fast is too fast and how much weight is too heavy or not enough. This is where I believe Camber has us all. That car has the perfect power to weight setup on top of having a good handling car. I wish I knew the magic formula.

As superslab has already said, it's tight within the top half of the field. Tuesday should be an interesting and very close race; that's for sure.

Thanks for qualifying and hosting good luck to all the builders on race day. Btw, looks like the Gt3 proxy will be just as fast as the Group 5 cars once testing and tuning is complete.

Thanks for the qualifying Wayne and Smokio, the video looks like you guys had fun. Super close times, this race is anyones...

On the topic of weight, here is a Group 5 car I won multiple national championships with years ago when I raced 1/32 plastics. Lots of 1.6mm brass in the chassis pockets and 2 carbide slotit weights where the magnet slots are. We had to run standard motor, gearing and chassis configuration under the rules but could run NSR or Scaleauto foam tyres. It was quite fast and smooth with the stock long can.



The Plafit 1/32 GT class run under Australian rules has a minimum 125g weight, most of us were up around the 130+ mark. They just got faster when more weight was thrown at them, again this is with Plafit foam tyres. With Fox 4 (25K) motors they are missiles on big scale tracks. Weight can be good when it's in the right spots.
