Not sure what year YD became the spec tire. I recall having K&Ds on my first few cars. Anyone remember them. Just look at 2007 on SCI Robert Livingston ran an Artin car on trued and glued Artin tires. Looks like the first year 2007 guys were running stock rubber tires. Motors were all over the place in 2007. NC5, Stock Scaley, SCX 42B,Slot.it 21K, et all.

Kept reading: K&D became the spec tire in Forums Cup II 2008.

arroldn, thanks for the insight. It seems tire changes are not foreign to this series. I would like to nail this down sooner rather than later, so I will give it until Wednesday, January 9th, 2019. I will announce the decision on Thursday the 10th. Right now, it seems we will stick with the YD ST Urethane.

Scott, Are we talking about this year or next year? This year I would like to leave it the way it is. Next year I would be ok with going to a different urethane tire. If that's what we decide. REL13

As there was only one person that commented that was opposed to the Super Tire Urethane Tires, we will keep the Super Tires Urethane as the spec tire compound.
