Well the above didn't copy the way I expected it to.
We had several cars in the Stock Class that out performed the some of the cars in the modified class. That often happens here. One thing I noticed was that some of the cars that were geared for long straightaways really suffered from a lack of brakes.
When I built this track I had several grandkids in mind. There are a lot of long swooping curves with just enough technical stuff to keep the adults from getting bored. As a result the fastest car does not always win here.
Due to a hardware glitch I'm unable to count tenths as the relay won't function to control track power, so it is set to count even laps and the fastest average lap serves as the tiebreaker. This is figured by the computer and not me.
Some of the smoother cars in the stock class recorded some really quick lap times.
My modified car did much better here, but this is the track it was built on.
Monte Saager, Al Christensen, and myself drove all of the cars. Thanks go out to our wives Chris, Donna and Victoria for marshaling the cars and running the computer.
