Yes it does. I use one with the no magnet T-jets with Difalco Design controllers skinny tires, some stock, some silicone on Tomy track. I use the low and mid power.

I once asked someone to measure the output of a Tri-Power with the cars running, the numbers that he reported were 9.1 volts for the beginners setting, 13.9 volts for the Intermediate setting and 24.4 volts for the Expert setting. My club runs most of our classes at 18.5 volts, but we run G-Jet type cars and Gravity cars at 12 volts. Once in a while after a 12 volt race someone forgets to turn the power back up and when the green flag drops for an 18.5 volt class race everyone thinks that something has gone wrong with their car.
If you are looking for more realistic speeds with cars that you still have to drive box stock T-Jet type cars are one way to go. On my track a full race T-Jet car can do a 5.5 second lap, a box stock type car with skinny silicone tires would do about 8 seconds if I remember correctly. High performance cars cars from BSRT, Slottech, Viper or Wizzard turn my track at about 2.4 seconds, A G-Jet type car at 12 volts or a Magnatraction/X-Traction at 18.5 volts is good for a more realistic 4.5 seconds.

I like to run old t-jets I find on the net with new stock skinny tires. A lot of spinning and sliding slow I need to run them slow to stay in control.

Now that I have a new dash chassis OS3 Anchors, 332" White Silicone Sponge rear tires running at the mid setting cars is very easy to control.

If you are going to enter an ASRL race you had better practice at 18.5 volts.

OK I will turn up the power 18.5. looks like I need to use my other power supply
