Practice time will be provided I will post that after I hear back from some of the teams.
This is a competive race among friends, gentlemen and ladies (you know who you are ïŠ). With that in mind the rules will be stated such as to maintain fair play.
Racing, marshalling and car handling, maintenance and repairs.
Any repairs MUST BE DONE UNDER “GREEN†CONDITIONS and repairs must pause between heats and during any extended track calls (once the Button Marshal recognizes the need for an extend track call).
Cars de-slotting in front of the Driver’s station will warrant a track call. Drivers shall NOT marshal their own cars. Button Marshal should politely reprimand offenders. A repeated non-compliance will result in a one lap penalty.
Track malfunction or debris may warrant a track call (Marshalls discretion).
“Rider†will warrant a track call. (avoids car damage)
Car on the floor warrants a track call, to clean car and tires of floor debris and return of the car to the position where it left the track.
Track calls for all other “crashes†should not be necessary and the track button Marshall should resist the urge to initiate track call stoppage, for large pile ups, or inattentive marshals, or overwhelmed marshals.
Driver’s must drive working cars to the “Pit area†when a team want’s to remove a car from the track for repairs, maintenance or adjustments.
All work on cars will be done in plain sight where others can oversee that repairs comply with intended fair play rules.
Between heats, cars will be handled only to adjust lane stickers. No other checks or adjustments are to be made at this time.
Teams are required to provide a Marshall during the race. Their car cannot move while Marshall is missing. A moving violation penalty of1 lap + any laps completed during the moving violation.
BODY & INTERIOR.
All bodies and interiors must be painted. Fantasy liveries in the spirit of 1:1 motor sport are acceptable and encouraged. Three numbers must appear on the car similar to 1:1 motor sport requirements.
Use of Scaleauto Carbon/Rubber wings is permitted.
Use of Shoe Goo intended to strengthen the body, body mount attachment to the body and attachment/fit of the interior is permitted. Excessive Goo use may bring intention of use into question and may require pre-race alterations.
No other body modifications are allowed.
If a body is altered by a crash during the race it must be repaired such that it is “whole†again. Tape maybe used repair a cracked body or fill gaps if fractured parts are lost. After a crash a car must be repaired to “whole†state before returning to the track.
CHASSIS.
It is legal to straighten/true the chassis and other metal parts.
Light sanding of flashing or burrs on parts is permitted.
Countersinking holes lightly is allowed, re-drilling or resizing holes is not.
Chassis can be adjusted as long as chassis fits under body and wheels are reasonably centered in wheel openings.
The chassis must be assembled with all the original screws, nuts and bolts using intended mounting positions (fasteners can be adjusted to positions within the intended range of adjustment holes provided for that fastener).
Threadlocking material may be used on fasteners to ensure they do not loosen, but all fasteners should be fully tightened when the car is presented for tech.
No part of the chassis may be visible when viewing the car from above. If chassis is altered in a crash such that it violates this rule, then the chassis must be repaired.
Light Kits are required We will be running a portion of the race in the dark so you will need light kits during that time. You must have one head light and tail light during the night portion. Light kits must be a commercially available light kit. No homemade light kits.
