HO DRAG RACING ON LONG ISLAND

Yes, this winter we should be getting some sort of schedule together. Two Tonys - one in SW Nassau county, and one about halfway out east on the south shore of Suffolk county - will be running organized bracket racing. Tony's Small Torque Motor Speedway in Nassau is currently up and running bracket racing on Wednesday nights on a full function, "1,000 ft." MaxTrax strip with Track Mate computer timing system, at 20 volts with 10 amps available. The Suffolk set up is also a similar MaxTrax at a full 1/4 mile, and is currently being moved to a different house and should be up and running soon. Well, it finally went down. Tony at Small Torque just needed to concentrate on his large scale oval business and the HO drag strip now resides in Pennsylvania. Sold all of his HO cars and accessories, too. But.. we'll still be havin' one hell of a time on that 4 lane 40' oval track! Next big Reality Modified Tour Race is January 16th. Contact Tony for details if you're interested.
Our other friend (also named Tony) is still all set up for action in Suffolk County, a full 1/64 scale quarter mile with shutdown and complete computer timing system. I'm looking to participate in some regular drag race meetings in 2016! -- Ernie :>)

Where in Pennsy did the old Dragstrip move to ? A private person, or a Public Raceway ?

Al Pink is a cool guy, loves HO slot drags, and is a member of this forum. Had you been able to come to the Morgantown, PA show you would have been able to met him for yourself. He's putting on a new HO drag event, the "2016 SPRING BRAKE" (the spelling's part of the fun). I believe he's in Conshohocken, PA. You should contact him through the forum PM system, he may be doing proxy cars for the event. -- Ernie :>)
