I switched to digital racing with Carrera D132 some 2 years ago and posted the layout in the digital forum of this site (here's the link : viewtopic.php?f=30&t=6277 ). After I modified the circuit to run all my analog cars on it, I did not do anything with the track. Finally, I started doing something and here's what i have done so far :
1. Put lots of trees on it, close to 50 of them and some 20+ pine trees 2. Fabricated 14 street lights with 8 LEDs on each post 3. Fabricated a big 32 inch long grandstand to accommodate all my little spectators 4. Fabricated a track barrier from start to finish on both sides of the lane to protect the landscape from flying 1/43 GM powered cars 5. Fabricated 4 windmills (with motors)
WOW that looks FANTASTIC love the wind farm it's good to see you are thinking of the planet those flood lights look awesome as well as does the grand stand lighting    :text-bravo:
Thank you all for your kind and generous words. The lights including the lights in the grandstand being all LEDs are powered by one single 6 amp power supply and the voltage is set at 10volts. The windmills are powered by a single 2 amp variable power supply with each motor connected to a rheostat to slow down the rpm, otherwise strong wind will sweep the landscape away from the track :D :D
Yes Dave, it will be an honor for me if you share my track on FB. Thank you.
BTW, i forgot to add that my track sits on a 5 x16 feet of movable table and has a running length of 74 ft inside lane and 75.5 ft outside lane. Track is happily sitting in the basement somewhere in Ontario Canada to make a lot of people happy racing analog and digital cars.
Super awesome Martin...windmill and lightning is very cool but I think the fencing is the schadizzle!!! Any chance to show a closeup of the light pole tops?? Thanks for sharing this awesome layout!!
