In primer and ready for paint. Decals coming from Patto's. #40 David Stremme Coors Light. Decided on a chassis design just not on configuration yet. Need to sit down at the jig and do some figuring.

Has anyone thought of using one of the later Aussie V8 supercar Holden bodies.
Because they are what the 2013 Chevy SS is based on. Yes boys your new Chevy's are made in Oz.

Oh okay I just realised that the proxy is for Gen 4 cars and the new cars are gen 6. Sorry.

Still in the event of no Gen 6 cars being made yet, maybe it's an idea for later.

Okay. The Hot Rod Mav has been long gone and the Nugen is outta my hair. :banana-dance: So it's time to heat up the iron and forget about that plastic crap.

This is going to be a experimental project. If it works fine if not it goes into the scrap box to be cut into something else later. That's how ya do it Dave. :lol:
Just a little wire bent and motor plate done for tonight. Little more tomorrow.

I'm liking what I am seeing. But I think your wire is way too big. Looks like .055?

Built several of the tuning fork chassis - really can't see what everyone is talkin' about. But that's just gotta be me.

I'll be sittin' here watchin' as you go along.

Yep that be a tuning fork with .055 wire Marty. It should be okay. Not wanting a whole lot of flex. Like I said it's a experimental thing to see how it works. Never built one or drove a car with one. So trying one out. If I don't like it scrapola. :D
I will be getting up early but not play. Gots to work till 1:30. Should be able to get on it good this weekend.

I'm going with a pseudo-stock plastic Scalextic chassis and after looking at the build in this thread, I'm starting to feel pretty pedestrian...........

We'll see how it runs.

I'll post some pics of my "assembly"; guess I can't use the term "build" for what I'm putting together.......

Got a little cuttin and fittin done tonight. Can't rush these things ya know. :)

Moving on slowly and on to the back for a bit. Went with a little swiss cheese action. That hunk of brass started as 1x1.25 @ 11 grams and now is 6g's.
