Vintage 1/24 - I know it's from a different racing surface, but would you consider making a set of decals for some of the top dirt racers? I mentioned making a #20 Brett Hearn asphalt body, does that mean you can do a set of decals for hard body car? I was never a fan of black cars, but his current car with block florescent yellow/green numbers won me over. Or what about decals for a hard body tribute to the Weld built and Balough driven #112 car that dominated the Syracuse race back in the 80's?

I could also go for something like - Frankie Schneider #52, Rags Carter #4jr, Fuzzy Van Horne #71e, or Ray Underwood's up-side-down #151 (said his car would probably be on it's roof as much as it's wheels - so why not). I'd love to build hard bodied cars that honor any of these dirt guys I've loved watching through the decades.

Here is the thing, I mostly laser print to CLEAR decals. The big issue is I cannot print WHITE ink. So a black car is a problem.

Also the other colors when printed on black are not that fully opaque, so it requires a trick.

I have a WHITE decal paper that I use, but it needs a surround of the background black added as a 'spread' around the art. I use it and it works. Another method is to cut out a slightly smaller white 'choke' shape that goes under the decal art, something for the art to sit on when it is placed on a black car.

Because of this limitation I have been putting up decals for white (and light color) race cars, since they work perfectly and they work as is - no advanced modeling tricks needed.

The advantage of these hobby-style decals is the custom or unique designs that are possible that may not be available elsewhere.
