Racing at Ascot

We held the first of our Friday night races at Ascot Speedway last night. Racing started shortly after 7PM and continued until about 1:30 AM. Many of the races were very close, with only one or two laps separating 1st and second. It's amazing how much fun you can have on a 12' oval. Here's a couple of pics of some of the cars we ran:

It's amazing how much fun you can have on a 12' oval You got that right brother. I was on the fence about building mine but I should have sooner what a blast and it's just shy of 12'. The best night ever on the oval we counted 1000 laps per lane and had twice as many laughs!

That is a heck of a field - looks like a great time! :D

Thanks guys. I should note that about half of the cars in the pictures are powered by Kemtron motors from the mid-sixties. And a good number of those cars are running on tires from the same era. My previous oval track was much larger than this one; but this track is much more fun to drive.
