Monogram/ Carrera vintage Nascar 55

Had a little fun with this one. Harry had sent me an old Monogram snaptite 55 Chevy. It was a great static model that Moose had built, but it needed to be a slot car.
I took an old Superbird Carrera chassis and shortened it, added some CB steelies and a Slot it guide. A quick repaint and some parts box decals, I used the full kit interior and a driver from the Carrera mustang, and we have a running mate for the 57's, and my 57 Ford.

Bob,
I got all excited when I saw a the first picture. I have spent several hours looking for the style numbers on the door. They are very close if not exact to the numbers on the #26 Carrera Bel Air.
Any idea where they came from?

Bob, that is a great car. We have all seen cars on HRW we would like to have, but that is one of the best. Do you think it will go to Missouri for the Showdown? Somebody has to do the parade laps with the girls waving to the crowd, after all.
