Rob, that came out great, Nice job on the two tone paint..That is a hard color combo to do and I have to add it does need a Golden Arches logo on it somewhere.

I'm beginning to feel a little inferior. Here I am retired and still never have enough time to finish things. Dang I like those old jalopies, and Rob yours looks great! I would like to do one but finding the time is the problem. I have enough of the models that's for sure, and lots of brass. Now I need to order a few things. :)

Just some quick questions. What chassis' are you guys using? Motor? Tires? I want to make sure I do this right. :)

Our build "specs":

Motor - Who cares? We have been using the HAWK 18K for most all of them. But some have Carrera, Scaley, FLY even some NINCO NC-5s.
Gearing - See #1. However we just keep the costs down by using the 9/33 gearing that comes with the H&R chassis.
Chassis- Yes, a chassis is required. :) Make it from an H&R. Pro-Track, PARMA...etc or hand forge it :)
Tires - Paul has made us some really cool looking tires that are easily glued on the stock wheels and he also has some for the newer center ribbed ones. They hook up great here, yet allow a good drift for fun. But again, use what ever tire you want.

I picked up a '34 Ford today. Not sure whether to build with fenders or without. I guess there isn't a wrong way to build it. I'm going to look through some of 1/24 stuff I have on hand tonight. :)

Thanks for the ideas Rob. I'm not too sure how I'll proceed, but I'll figure it out. This just might be fun working on something a little bigger. :)
