Hey Greg.. the track looks great wish I could run some hot laps myself on it .if you are looking for a fun class to run on it try the reality modifieds but use a H&R lighting 2 motor instead of the falcon type . I have about 9 guys that race every week and the racing is really close . Have fun racing!,,

Wow Harry thank you on the tires. I will pm. :text-thankyouyellow: yes I'm right by decatur, two hours from STL. Thinking about an HRW open house this spring after I get the road course closer to done. Or race worthy standards anyway. We are thinking of selling the house later this year (looking for one with a pole barn) and the big track will have to go this summer
Working on a few 1/24 dirt car projects inspired by other builds here too. I'm having a blast with this track and the bigger cars right now. It's getting my dad involved who is a 1/25 racecar modeller. He's currently working on 33 indy cars from mid-60s. (Obsessed much??) We are going to figure out how to adapt a low cost chassis to a few extra bodies. He used to do brass chassis back when was a teen. Also some other retired racers in the family are getting excited
I tried the lighting 40k motors but where a hand full and did some damage on deslots. Might try again after it rubbers in.

Harry, you are a saint! I'm running the hawk 18k with fronts on the rears right now. Can't wait to try these!!

Hooked up the Trakmate with deadstrip tonight. All four of my 1/24 cars are running in low 3's. Best lap was 3.098 running skinny rubber tires. Without timing I had no idea a lap was that quick. Kinda surprising actually.
With a little tuning and a trip thru the tire razor I'm looking at breaking into the 2's. Going to mount up a 26k H&R from Santa Harry in the morning. Thanks again Harry.
