Bullring Oval

An important thing Mike's bullring oval shows is that when it comes to racing an oval is often elliptical, or egg shaped. I made my oval using wood sections patterned after plastic track, not taking into account the way racing lanes actually flow around a real track. Indy (2.5 miles around) is a rectangle with round corners, but bullrings are more like elongated circles where straights and turns meld into each other. Mike's track looks like what a bullring should be - both for realism and for ease of driving by softening up the entrances and exits of turns.

Hey Thanks!! I may consider going a bit larger. What size would be a good bull ring? I may just race 1/32 scale sprints,

I think that is something that you have to figure out for yourself. You will have to decide how much space that you are willing to devote to an oval, what scale of cars you want to run in that space, and then proceed towards filling it up with wood. I have built a 3X6, 4 X8, 6X12 and a 7.5X16 ft ovals. They all had their merits. I liked them all.
