David - I don't think a definite race date was established. It's all in the building challenge stage.

I got news that the kit I really wanted to use is delayed, so I may just start on the one I ordered in error. Who cares? Its just toy cars, right? Besides, I have an extra kit to drive Reinecke crazy that I really want to do first! He'll cringe for a week. Maybe I'll do it in pink to rub salt in the wound. It would be nuts if it turns out to be the fast one!

Just got back form the areas hobby shop, They only had 1 pickup in stock so I got it. I will build on the H&R chassis.

Thanks Jon, lowed the body about 1/4 " and had to rase the rear fenders a little.

Is there going to be a prozy for these trucks or is this just great fun building them.

PS: should I turn the rear fenders so they are lower in the front of the rear tires so the backs are more open ?

And thanks for the encouragement to slice, dice and glue this monster up. I'm not exactly sure where to go with the paint, but that will come around.
