I've finished the ponds, the stadium lights and added some more details.

Here's the whole track with the new stadium lights turned on:

One of the main reasons for building this track was to be able to run these cars. I needed a little wider lane spacing due to the open wheels. We'll see how it goes tomorrow when the guys show up to rubber in the track.

Thanks guys. I'm also working on some soundbites from some old Dick Lane broadcasts to add to my Trakmate. I had to get Dick's trademark "Whoa Nellie" into the mix somehow.

Most impressive. Showed some guys your work that raced at Ascot. They were sad to hear that it's not in so-cal but glad someone is keeping Ascot alive. In the 60's, Ascot was lettered on the jump for TV races. Probably going to start my replica of Saugus Speedway in a few weeks.

We held a track break-in party today and held a few races. It was a blast running those early modifieds side by side for the very first time. Everything on the track worked flawlessly. Everyone was impressed with how much fun it was to race on such a short track. To add to the fun, I setup a few Dick Lane sound bites into the Trakmate software. Now I can go to work on dialing in my cars for this track.
