This one looks great - all of these 1/32 MT Resin 'Late Models' have made for excellent builds. This Mustang was a less common body style for Late Models here in the North East, but it looks the part and fits right in. The decal numbers are very graphic - large and bold - and the wide rubber sets it off - it really looks like a race car and very cleanly executed.

These will make for a great series.

Harry I was reading your bit on the tire truing, and about the heat build up.
You likely already have this in your tool box, but when im doing the tires, I keep a small plastic applesauce tub with water, and a model paint brush handy.
Every once in a while I dab a bit of water on each tire as I am turning them , it reduces the friction and thereby the heat.
You can hear the rpm pick up, and then slo again as it dries.
I find it also helps polish the tire which is a good thing.
Great build on the Stang.
We have 2 that we are doi g here north of the border in the new year.
Cheers

Yes Bob, I do the same thing except I have a older version of the application. But I can't show using my finger and a little spit because some would be horrified at such a practice :)

But yes, basically we are wet sanding. I showed this process to HRWJim last summer and he saw the difference. You make a great point and I should create a new video showing this technique...albeit using your more suitable approach.

Thanks all for the comments, appreciate it. It truly is a lot of fun.

That looks Super Harry! Somehow i had missed the update on this one till now.
That really looks sharp, and what a finish! looks like a new penny. that body lends itself well to that color scheme to me.

Those hood stripes on the Camaro look right out of Car Craft circa 1983! Love it!

Kev - that was my second guess but it reminded me of Dobbertin's Nova.

I almost purchased several of the 1978-1981 Camaros...the gray 1980 Z-28 4-speed the seller sold out from underneath me after I'd already given him the downpayment REALLY ticked me off. Turns out his neighbor's daughter wanted it and wore a low-cut shirt over to his place a few hours before I was to pick it up...

Thanks for that Harry. I've got a '70 Mustang Snaptite kit here that I was wondering what to do with. This has given me some inspiration.

You are welcome.

I looesley based the car after ones Mr. Farmer actually drove.

I did not add any gold as my painting skills forbid it :)

We race these "late model" cars right along side our regular Sportsmans. Chassis, wheels, motor, tires, are all the same, just more modern take. So they match up pretty well.
