Tom brought a new racer by today. Karl is a HO racer from a town just up the road and he enjoyed himself I think :)

Dixon John, poor Karl in the middle, and Locoracer Tom do battle.

Tom, John, Karl, and even Redneck Ronny showed up for 4 lanes of fun.

I had NOTHING to do with this :)

Great times having new folks show up. Karl will fit right in around here I think.

Thanks Tom and Karl for coming by.

Glad to see you boys broke him in carefully. Tell the Professor that he is starting to look a little hippie-ish in retirement ;)

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. An extra special thanks to Tom for introducing me to Harry. I can't thank Harry enough for allowing me the opportunity to come over and play. You are an excellent host and a truly great guy. To say that I had a good would be an understatement. This was the first chance I have had to just outright play with the larger scale cars and I would say that you have sparked my interest.

Thanks again,
Karl

Karl - it is a slippery slope Sir! Just warning you.

Now, let's get to business - did Harry at least feed you something? Sliders, salad, tofu...what?

Oh and by the way I believe I had every thing to do with that. Not the magnet missiles that I'm use to, but it is a lode of fun to hang your a** out to block the other guys run.

I made bratwursts. 3 or 4 of those inside cuts 2-3 tenths off your times as you well know.

Hope to have you come back Karl.

Well of cores he did. Brats and chips. As I said he was an excellent host.

As for the slippery slope, I now own a 1/32 Fly, Porsche 917 and the stuff to build a 60's 1/25 stock car. Not to mention Tom is lending me some track to get the hook set all the way. Not like I was going to be a hard fish to land.

The big problem is that I am in the middle of planning a new routed HO layout. This kind of clouds things up a bit. I really didn't think that I had the space for a large scale layout, but Harry's layouts are the same sixe as what I have now. So that kind of has me thinking. Big problem is that I have lodes of HO stuff. Not to mention that I have gotten others interested and now have 13 other people that come over every other Saturday to race.

Keep an eye out for me to start a new thread related to my track. I will try to keep you up to date on how I land when I get to the bottom of the slippery slope.

Karl,

Keep BOTH scales! Nothing wrong with that, especially if you've got racers to play with in HO. I'd make a table that either folds up or can be put on the other track temporarily to play with the other scale.

Glad Harry fed you, not like the last time I visited... Image

Doc...your next visit will be more fulfilling. The General says she will make sure of it.

I told Karl, I would like to join in the HO fun. Fun is fun. I know what car to get now. He has a great group going, I think we could all have a blast in both scales.
