HRW Barn Find 2015 Semi-Live Coverage!

All the cars made the trip from the West coast safely. It was slow going on old route 66, but by golly they made it.

Had to make a big to-do welcome sign for them. Some fellar had one of those fancy-smancy color cameras too.

Image

Time to line them up for fans in the stands.

Image

Ok well, there are no stands. Had to take them apart to build that durn sign! And the fans? Well, most of them are sitting on the dirt waiting...

Image

Couple cars needed a look see. Seems a little problem on the 38 car. Nothing our top wrenches who have precise, surgical-like skills can't handle. Old Smoke knows his way around an Artin chassis, I'm sure the boys won't scratch it up too bad.

More to come...

That old bucket of bolts needs them there thangs.
Seriously, Great Picture Harry, you really have a way with that camera!

Thanks guys.

Curly seems to think he has the solution to the issue. How he convinced our race mascot Dingus to help him is beyond me...

Image

You can't turn your back for a second around here.

Don't worry Bob...we will get it right :)

Well Curly isn't happy, but too bad. We knew a good old Artin chassis only needed a little massaging :)

Image

Some wheels, and such. Plus a chassis adjustment by our lead engineer "Stretch".

Image

Braid swap and we are motoring just fine :)

Not really, I think some old guy has not worked on an Artin in a long time and was having too much fun :)

Lined them up to begin testing.

Image

Ok, passed testing :)

Image

Have to tip my hat to Mr. SADCO Steve here. This car just gets me when I look at it. Weathering is great, especially the glass effects. Windshield cracked, passenger glass half broke and stuck...etc.

Image

Image

But this one headlight just seals the deal.

DixonJohn came by for a few pre-race laps and things are looking good.

I will run them tomorrow when Mark arrives so he can have a few laps.

Had to work for a living so that stalled the race. BUT it is done and here are the results.

Image

Now Todd can check these and put them into his format.

All these cars are winners. I really like the idea of taking old bodies and making them into Saturday Night Stars :)

Everyone should be happy.

What a fun race.

Todd, I think they go to you next right?

WOW! Not only a great looking field - but also looks like some CLOSE competition there!
Heck - there is only a 10% spread over the entire field!
VERY cool! :D
Love the black and white shots!

I will get the spreadsheet updated here shortly and will look forward to hosting these great rides here in Ohio shortly!
:banana-dance:

Oh and Dave - count me in for "Round #2"!

Great, thanks Todd.

I'll get this shipped out tomorrow or the next. Have a full work load the next few days, but I'll get them out ASAP.
