I'm with ya smallblock. Look at the exhaust and the rust on the nerf bar. I don't even think of those things let alone have the skill to paint them LOL. JIm

Those are really nice. Not only the rust but the McCreary tires are just outstanding. How did you get the lettering on the tires? Looks like the real thing.

Thanks to everyone for the positive comments. I used tire stencils for the McCreay lettering. I bought them from Replicas and Miniatures Co. of Md as well as some others that they supply such as Hoosier and Good Year. I also found an easy way to replicate rust by using a two part chemical solution from Michaels Hobby Center. The product is called Sophisticated Finishes and they have many different metal finishes. The one that i use for rust is Iron Metallic Surfacer for part 1 and then apply Rust Antiquing Solution for part 2. This is very easy to use and comes out great for making rust on any painted surface. Hope this is useful for any future modeling projects.
