On our trip to Chicago, one of the people that races with us brought along a car he was working on for our series.
Dan is one of those guys that has incredible talent at building. Over the years he has made some jaw dropping models and the work so far on this one is very impressive.

And you know this thing hauls the mail. I drove it on Norb's big oval and it really goes. We had a heck of time racing them.
Thanks Dan for letting me photograph it to share with others. What a fine chassis.

Whoa!!
Yeah, as Bob says, wish mine looked that good..
Good thing that once you put the body on, it covers up the chassis. Sure would hate to have my ugly chassis sitting next to that one... :?

I've been thinking and thinking about this project. I'm going to add this one to my collection of chassis picrures to learn from.

If you think that is good, check this out...

This chassis has rear working suspension. He incorporated NINCO shocks into the rear of the chassis. It pivots The motor is soldered to a tub that allows it to pivot. It's a hoot.

First, I want to thank Harry for posting these pictures. He took these when he and Cindy were at Bomberfest. It's always a great time when I get to see them.
I really appreciate the comments, especially coming from this talented and creative group. If anyone has questions about the sportsman chassis feel free
to ask.

Very clean looking chassis Dan! How thick is the brass guide plate beneath the front axle? Is it something such as .032, .040, or .062? Your piano wire rails look to be .062 diameter. Thanks. :)
