They are an addiction inside an addiction :) Nothing races like a old jalopy. No one cries about scratched paint either :)

And with that rusty weather - beaten finish just adds to the mystique.Maybe aside from the wrecks you could highlight some of the unique weathering finishes on these cars too !!!

Remember those Revell steel crown gears (1960s)? I had one in a jalopy and when I landed on top of a guy's '32 sedan, it carved up the roof before it slowed down. I was mortified. It never crossed my mind that could happen. But he wore it like a medal. The carved up paint on his roof was a mainstay for us for years.
