Another Show-Down newbie

Wanted to introduce myself, I have been lurking and watching all of the amazing work for a while now and thought it was time!

My name is Jeff, I'm located in Fenton MO and had the same path as most of you and had some HO stuff when I was a kid.

When I got my first house I built a 4 lane, 98' approx lane length for the kids (sorta) but was sold with the house and was the deal breaker if you can believe that.

At the current house we've been in for 13 yrs I have built a 4 lane wood road course approx 70' in length (currently still set up in High Ridge MO) a 4 lane 55' high banked tri-oval (27* in the corner), that is in storage in my basement, a 55' run-off type of 2 lane course that stayed up until about 2 weeks ago and is also stored at the house.

After a visit to Razorjon I was inspired to build a smaller (15x5) banked 4 lane oval to gain some space back in the slot cave and should be doing some laps tonight after my sons hockey practice if all goes well.
All of the tracks use Trakmate and the same power supply and should give me some idea on how my cars will run at the showdown hopefully!
I created a photobucket account and will try to post some pics this evening and see why y'all think!

Where do ya suppose a guy could get an ASA body in a short notice, I ordered enough parts for 3?

Here's a couple of pics of the last 2 tracks, I don't have any good ones of the road course.
We mainly ran womps (I know:) for years because the kids could barely break one, as of late because of all the killer builds on here the bras route is by far the most fun and rewarding.

That banked Daytona-ish oval looks fantastic. I bet many major battles have been waged on that over the years.

Yes the oval has seen serious battle! The great thing is the track is self cleaning and racing would usually continue, it was so fast that with a womp with stock home set motor would run faster than the computer could process, under 2 seconds :mrgreen:
I always wished I would have kept at least an approximate count on laps on the oval, can't even imagine the #.

Did get the new track running late last night (1:30am) and it better than I had expected!

For sure I'll take you up on that! I'd like to buy some of the late model bodies from ya if you still them.
I'd like to build a field of them for a weekly/monthly race if you'd be interested.
