This was a productive weekend for me, finally got the opportunity to get some paint on my Sportsman Showdown entry.





The purple turned out awesome, I wanted to get a crazy color down and this is it!.

The body mounts are not set yet but looking to do the offset like Harry has shown in his excellent examples. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and helpful suggestions on the Chassis and guide setup, I am hooked on the brass builds. Now to find out how she will go!

Well almost done, got 3 layers of clearcoat for all that banging around. :)



Finally installed my NY Modified inserts, these things are great! Very little work to get them installed.



I had to have a sponsor, so thanks to 'ACE' for the $20.00. I only hope I won't need a tow. :D

Seems to be a driver, it may have a little more 'brakes' than I thought, but that may be an advantage, who knows.

Interior is almost ready to mount, I have to install the windshield and driver, then she will be ready to send off.
Hopefully I will be done this weekend, and off to Harry's on Monday fingers crossed.

So the scramble is over, for me at least. Car done and will by zipping out of the depths of my man cave onto the Showdown.


Crew scrambled and hustled to get the finishing touches on the car....

So they 'USPS' said they can't guarantee it will be there for Fridaybut would make it Saturday. So there's a chance I'm going to miss out on qualifying. Oh well, don't wait till the last minute. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
