You're right Johnny. Not only have our guys been pumping out bodies like the best of them, but they also encourage us all to give it a try. If you had asked me three years ago if I would ever cast a resin body, I would have said, No way. We see others doing it and it seems possible so we try and have success and fun in the process.

Not only that, but resin is cheap compared to some of the resin bodies out there. Some you can buy would be over $100 CAD by the time you exchange currency and pay shipping, and then you pay for all the chassis parts and motors. Before long it costs as much as a Racer resin.

Well said Old Johnny. I also see another side to this thought. I often get discouraged when I see the younger ones balk at the thought of even picking up a tool let alone trying to use it. Too much of our society is 'throw away' and the idea of actually creating something with your own two hands well, it seems to be fading fast. I hope this forum can inspire those young and old to begin to create. It has been a high for me for over 40 years.

I have to agree. The past couple years have seen a lot of progress in this area. These guys have really inspired a great deal.

Good folks doing it and I'm honored to be mentioned alongside them. Looking back to when I got started in resin well - a lot of them have come and gone. Some were good, some were not.

There is one person overseas that I'm simply in awe of - George Turner. His stuff is fantastic and the rate at which he turns out kits as well as other products is crazy.

I get 1-3 kits a year done now if I'm lucky - Of course, 45 hours a week I'm sitting at a desk keeping our power safe. If I did this full-time, I'd be busy and probably completely broke LOL! I enjoy the hobby and like making new things.
