1) Chassis with the extra brass between rails really seems to have helped settle this thing down. Still not the best soldering work, but I think I'm getting better. Of course, it took three attempts to get one that worked right. That was all my fault as I just was in a rush and not paying attention.
2) Worst paint experience I've ever had. I found an orange I wanted to use in Krylon MAXX...run away SCREAMING if you ever see this stuff! WORST enamel ever in my opinion, and the devil tempted me with this evil stuff from my normal Duplicolor laquer. NEVER again. This stuff would not dry after 3 days and went on with major runs, no matter how light the coats were. I dumped the body in frustration into the Pinesol bath and primed it again. After looking at it in primer, I decided I liked that color enough and simply polished it out and cleared it with Future.
3) Decals are left overs from a Busch stocker decal set from Slotcars4u...how I miss Tim's excellent decals. Nary a fuss as usual.
Most importantly: how's it run? Considering who build it - suprisingly well! We will see how it stacks up against the better built cars - meaning any other one entered ;)
