Thanks again for running it, Harry. I suddenly realized when it was too late, that at some point, I added a brass plate for weight (wrong side), that I never intended to put on. I was sure I would mess up the one, and made two, then came back to the shop three days later and soldered the spare on without thinking for a second. Dang. On the other hand, I have now done two side pans perfectly, just one on the wrong side of the car and adding a lot to the weight. Not really all that consoling.
Just for interest, look at the difference in shade between the bumpers and the body. The bumpers are the raw brass, sanded and sprayed with the same lacquer as the body, just 3 less coats and not over flat gold. Amazing difference, huh?
