Having a little fun tonight. BD Sharp sent in his beach racer for us to play with. I waited for Shotgun to get here to give it a good run against his fine collection.

Just a couple quick fun shots. Thanks to Shotgun for the photo ideas!

Well boys, we have a benchmark and it's a high one.

Fast lap of 3.522. Now this is hauling the mail in a car like this. I currently have nothing for it!!

Well done on the outside AND inside sir. :flags-waveusa:

Thanks for the feature, Harry.

So it's slower than the entire field of Showdown cars. I guess that with less grip, a higher CG, and a narrower track width, it has to be driven a lot more gently. It's got no speed secrets; simple brass chassis, Piranha motor, 9/27 gears, solid front axle. But it looks too clean. I need to study up on Shotgun's weathering techniques. -Brian

Well yes, with all things considered as you mentioned, it's actually a fast mover for the configuration. Faster than most of my old hammers. So yours is the new standard to beat :)

Well don't baby it around the track- I'll be disappointed if it doesn't come home with some dings and scrapes.

Are the action shots real? I pressed a few buttons on Photoshop: spun the wheels and blurred the background and came up with this.
