I am behind the times but at least getting things started.

The kit to start with.

The front clip is a separate piece so I had to strengthen it with some scrap styrene.

Roof chopped and time to start bondo :)

Thanks Austin, but this chassis isn't going to be that pretty.
The chassis will be a "Frankenchassis" to go along with the spirit of these trucks.
Part Pro-Track, H&R, & scratch. :)
It is fun to cut things up. it is getting it back together that is the hard part!

I ran into an insurmountable problem with the track and I had to redesign the control panels. Maybe I can take a break from the track and build a truck... Especially one that is so much fun to chop up.
And I haven't forgotten that Coke car, either. The Nehi Grape machine is being gathered up for assembly. The custom made decals (incredible) were delivered Friday, and the purple paint is ready.

Hey Rob, welcome to the madness.
Speaking of that...little update.

Still in mock up stages, but getting a good idea what I am after. I think :)

How to take a tweak out of a pick up bed. Use your Piston Cup trophy on top and use a blow dryer to cook the frame and presto!

I want an air filter. Hmmmm...these hubcaps look pretty cool.

Yes, that looks pretty good to me.

Just getting to the chassis. Front end will be cut off, but the rear bulkhead is good to go.

New chassis company that I think will work out just fine :)

Hey that chassis looks like it will be close making the minimun weight requirements. May want to have a talk with IGOR..

Here some progress on the Igor Chassis (ver 1.0)

Did some slicing on the pan and cut the side mounts to fit in the cab. Cut off the front bulkhead and created a slider type system from square brass tubing.

Works just fine. Just need to make the guide tongue now.

The front axle carrier is a double stack of the same size tubing. This made the chassis about as close to parallel as it gets for the Skunkworks.

Slide to adjust and it seems to fit ok.
A lot more to do, but making progress :)

Harry,
I think yours is looking closer to our beautiful model as anyones. Maybe it's because you've got your hood
Flatter that it resembles the model.
NASTY !!
