I've made progress with the Late Model Truck its the 41 Willys pickup. I've still got a ways to go to get it race ready but here it is mocked up. I have to do a bit of trimming to move the front tires in but its coming along nicely.

Here are some brighter pics of just the body so you can get a better look at it.

The low spot on the hood was a little more than I was shooting for but I have an idea to cover it up. Hope to have this thing track ready by the end of this weekend.

Oh yeah :)

The cool thing is, imperfections make it perfect :)

Looking good Chris!

I thought we must have the same kit! I was holding out for a double kit that's coming, but it never showed up on this side of the pond, so I'm going to go ahead with this one. I like what you did with it. I am still at the stage where I am imagining it and holding pieces of model together to see how they look.

Looks good, Chris, but it is a little too clean and shiny! ;)

I'm still waiting to see what it looks like from the rear!

No comment on that one :)

During testing the "Hogan's Hero" went over the fence. Literally took flight on me. Very odd.

But it is ok :)

When I get done it won't be clean and shiny...hopefully. I updated the top post so there is a picture of the rear for you.

Chris had said that he cut the back of the bed too short and that from the back it looked like a monster truck. It doesn't look like a monster truck - it looks good. (However, in this series the term "monster" seems appropriate.

Why am I not surprised that my truck launched? I guess it's built "Ford Tough." (that probably jinxed it).

Ain't that always the way? I just said I had given up on my other kit making it across the pond- it was supposed to be out Sept 1st, then delayed to the end of Sept, and surprise! They shipped it today from my US dealer. So it looks like I will do two trucks after all, if there's still time.

Always time.

We are just having fun. If you cannot make the Halloween deadline, no worries. I'll drag my feet shipping them back a couple days :)

I love strict discipline- its so much more rewarding when its trashed.

Thanks, Harry.
