Wow - racing cars with vent windows, chrome trim around the doors, and door handles. I'll bet there's a window crack handle on the drivers side door so he could put the window up if he wants.

That's when you could call a racing car a stock car and mean it, and an average guy could still afford to go racing.

My good buddies older brother drove one of those 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxy 500 cars. He bought his with the 390 4 bbl V-8 options to hold down his insurance costs. He worked at the local Ford dealership and soon he started bringing home factory speed parts. The motor soon became a 427 fire breathing monster.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Hey Guys!

Your welcome!

I was on a site last night and one cool pic led to another to another.

So I thought to myself why not share them with the guys on the message board?

I know we are all pretty like minded in our car likes on this board so why not spread the joy to all of you.

These old race cars are things of beauty in my eyes!

I wish more of these would be made by the slot manufacturers instead of some of the odd ball stuff they seem to think is good ideas...

Anyhow, Enjoy and if I find more pics I will surely post for your viewing and scratch build referencing pleasures!!!!

Happy Holidays!

Mark(Derby City Speedway) do you have a slot version or 1:1 of that old Ford Galaxie?

I would love to see pics of either. I did see a white one on your custom car build pages. Very nice!

I would love to build a black one in the picture out of a monogram stocker.

I was on your web page looking at your custom scratch builds.

You and I have a lot of the same tastes in scratch builds!

You build some damn nice cars!

Your web page is awesome too by the way!

It was a joy to look at!
