a corvair?
i used to see a guy who raced one in the new england scca, a corsa turbo, back in about 1970. he seemed to have a lot of fun with it.
my buddy in college at the same time had a coupe. one day as we parked and walked away from it, the dashboard caught fire.
later i had a corvan. bought it from a a pilot who said it was just like an airplane engine and had put some hopup parts in it. the serpentine belt drove me crazy trying to keep it on. it was pretty cool in traffic, tho- you hit the gas, popped up and could have a look around. but they could've done a better job on the suspension.

Here is a bump from January - did the Mustang ever get finished up?
I really like the vintage modifieds and rarely see them done in one-thirty-tooth!
If I were to make something myself, what would be the best wheel/tire/insert setup to replicate the nascar Modifieds in this smaller scale?
What tire is most preferred by the 1/32 home crowd (probably not foam)? Does anyone make/offer a good scale appearing setup that would be aimed at the home wood/plastic racers?
