I will have to post some paper bodies - I made some super mods, tour type wheelan mods, and even some vintage asphalt mods out of paper. I think paper is great - provided you put in the hobby time, they are basically very cheap - almost free.

Looks like you could just extend the nose an inch or so and break a simple wedge to extend just past the guide flag - the sides would be triangular to match the wedge profile. It might hide the guide and act as a small diaplane type spoiler... Looks like it may fit?

Anyway, given the subjects and region you are focusing on - I would like to see you recreate the "Batmobile" - you know - that controversial ground effects 'Lincoln Mark' all out of paper. It looks like it wouldn't be a huge leap from what you are building already.

I'd incorporate some kind of support to protect the guide shoe from head on collisions..piano wire ..what ever..I used to reinforce clear bodies with piano wire in the bumper area..

Nice car. We had to run bumpers and nerf bars when I started racing in the 90s. Everybody complained so they took them off the cars. I was thinking about bringing them back on our 358 mods.

I use 9mil. glossy photographic paper with an HP Photosmart printer.
This is put together with the same basic principles of the late model at this link.
