56 Ford of Smokey's Barbeque on the track!!

Postby Dundee Denny » Mon Mar 10, 2014 8:01 pm

Boyz did some barn hunting and came up with this 56!!

Started life as a SRP 1/32 resin special and with chassis and power coming from a Scally NASCAR in a previous life.

Wheelbase needs some stretchin, and will need open up the wheel wells, not sure what is on the paint shelf these days, and will go to the decal drawer to finish her off.

Dundee Speedway doesn't have the luxury of a oval, but sure fun watching these rub fenders on those R1 turns!!

The Black & Red 57 Ford is the hot car at Dundee Speedway.

Boyz felt real good about the rake of the 56 until they compared them bumper to bumper!!

As low as the 56 is, the 57 is even a little lower.

The 57 is also powered by a graveyard NASCAR Scalley and they are both resin.

Time will tell which is faster.

Off to the paint booth for the 56 Ford!!

SRP website is www.racesrp.com

They don't come with glass or interiors, really basic stuff, but have several of the cars that are unusual, and happy with the outcomes!

Scotts' Racing Products are the best.Especially the selection of mid-50's cars.I've got the 55 Chevy,57 Ford Fairlane, 56Ford, The only one I don't have is the 57 Chevy. But, that's being taken care of.

Boyz were excited to find some official Ford "Grabber Green" in the paint shed.

The #90 Chevy was doing a drive by at the time to size up its future completion.

That is neat! I've always liked the 55-56 Fords and that one is very nice. Great color too! :)
