Ok, well not chrome but you fellas get the idea.

Came up with a simple design for the newest Sedan racer.



Started with a scrap section of brass that was laying in the scrapyard.



Hammered it and sanded it a little, scribed a centerline and drilled some holes. Yes, they are unevenly spaced. No big deal, it's a old hammer and they looked like this.



More scrap wire I cut and soldered in place.



Used steel screen door mesh and soldered it to the back of the rods. I think it looks ok.

Remind me not to get in front of you with that thing...

But maybe I need a good rear bumper? It's YOUR chrome horn I need to worry about!

I'm still mystified about the horn thing.

It is an old slang term around here Ember. Lots of older drivers on the oval tracks would use it. And still use it today actually.

"I gave him a shot of the old chrome horn". Meaning front bumper, which back then was mostly chrome.

So if a driver was blocking you, a little "chrome horn" was a nice way to alert him you were there, because he obviously had not noticed. :)

Oh... I might have guessed it if it said horns instead of horn. Now I have some ideas about how to run with this idea...

A few years ago, the maniacs in Chicago (you know who you are), at least I think it was them, held a figure 8 destructo race where the cars had spikes and woodscrews bristling out of them. Horny guys...

Singular horn. Perhaps they believe in unicorns, Rob.
