Just like the movie,My falcon has a beautiful finish underneath a junk overcoat.
Started off with a chrysler color i thought looked good against the decals i had made.It ended up looking like Grandma's car.
Quick trip to the parts house for another color choice(without glasses) netted me a great shade of silver/gray metallic,ok that works!.Get back home and prep the body and shoot that puppy,only to find i had bought a hammer tone wheel paint :doh:
After cussing my stupidity for at least as long as it took the paint to dry.I stripped it back down thru two coats of paint,and one coat of primer. I am letting the body breath a little,hoping i have not ruined a beautiful Resin cast body painstakingly made by David at RMS. At this point Mr Ican build em' fast, is sitting on a great chassis that runs super and handles great,but back to square one on paint and decals. If i can rescue this,i'll be happy camper. if not I will have a Saturday night special that looks great from across the track (big track). Still some detail work to do,

Well you got me on that one Marty! I know the rule and posted anyway..
I' would not have posted a picture of my disaster if i had one,but i think it will be ok now,i'll get some pics up this afternoon,i promise!

All of us have been there. I like the 3 foot rule. Look ok from a distance? Let's race.

At three foot,I have some darn nice cars! At 15 ft i have show cars!

I don't know what all the fuss is, that looks great!

We used to have a guy on here who would ask how much you wanted for any yellow car that came along. He was crazy for yellow cars. I remember a yellow Racer Ferrari that cost $250 or more, and he wanted it so bad he was nuts for it.

The thing is, the more yellow, the more he wanted it, so that very very yellow Falcon would have knocked him off his perch. Very nicely done. I congratulate you (but that's nothing compared to what he would do!).

Verrry nice, that's my kinda FORD race car! Well done.

Bob - AFTER I put my sunglasses on, I realized there was a wicked looking Falcon in the pictures! WOWWEE!! That thing looks fantastic! Nice work on the decals too! Your vent hose on the pass. door turned out perfect for it too! Really nice work!
