What size wheels are those rob? Those inserts look like they are for the 15x11 or 12 insert wheels.
Car looks great though!

Rob, you can do what you want but to answer the ? no that`s not the right fit. The wide 5s require 10-11-12mm wheels

Well, that's what I thought. My order from SCC was screwed up. I was able to pull the right tires from my own stash, but this is not working. I'll call them tomorrow. I hate doing this.
Oh, and they are 15X8 if they are the what I ordered. I'll go put a caliper on them, too. The insert sticks out a 1/4 inch because of the inside hub.

You need the wider wheel. I just tested it and yours look dead on 15 x 8.
I am using 15 x 10.

Thanks. I won't have to measure tomorrow. I think I'll get the tire thing straight and just order the 15X10s.

I talked to Bob at SCC, and everything is okay now. SCC is a friend to us at HRW and supportive in many ways. I almost didn't make the call at all, rather than risk screwing things up. It bothers me a lot to have to confront people I like with some kind of screwup, and I dreaded it.
He was laughing about it before I finished explaining what happened. We actually had a good conversation about slot cars in general and track building. I suppose it is because I have had to fight with people in other areas of activity over the years when something was wrong, that I dread it so much.

Yep, one of those many reasons those fellas are top shelf.
Oh, and they make the bling :) That helps! :)

Like I say, I felt a little goofy when it went so well. But I just got the email about it and everything is right as promised, and they gave me free shipping for the mistake.
What's bling?
