Well , im likin it a lot! The highboy chassis really does handle pretty good! I was very surprised, thought it would be tippy, but it slides through the corners like all the rest.

Yep Dave, that looks super cool.
Theres a friend of mine down the road who has a small business making 1:1 cars like that.
And whats it called you ask????? Why its High Boys and Hot rods of course...
I bet he's been at it 25 yrs now.

Now that is looking pretty freaking awesome Dave!!!
Love the rectangular brass for the rails!
I used "c" channel brass for making the bumpers on my Sportsman's entry - and was thinking that might make for a slick looking frame - from the looks of yours, I now have no doubt!
Again - VERY cool - thanks for sharing the progress shots!

Nice! You are going to be suprised how well it does even with the body on it, I was, and i thought the same thing.

THIS is what happens when a guy who has built the real thing builds a slot car. I was always an engine guy, so I get crazy running ignition and fuel lines, radiator and hoses, all that. Dave built the whole car(s) so he does these terrific things.

OK..that's just awesome. I love the idea of building a complete chassis close to what a real one would have had..
