I have looked at several of these sites about British drag racing, and it is amazing how popular those strange SU carbs were. I am helping a friend restore a 1973 Spitfire, and learning to rebuild those SU carbs was a three day education. For those who know SU's, I was very proud to hear the "pock" sound from the cylinder movement when we finished!
